Practice your 1st or 2nd grade math skills on IXL! Each student has a personal login ID and password so they can track their progress and earn awards as they master mathematics concepts. IXL also notifies me (the teacher) of minutes practiced and skill mastery for each student on a weekly basis. This is a great tool to support our learning in class!

In our classroom, we use the Harcourt Trophies series to teach reading. On this website, you can find activities that correlate to our weekly stories to help aid in phonics, decoding, grammar, spelling, comprehension, and vocabulary. The homepage allows you to select the appropriate grade level (1st or 2nd) to ensure the skills are applicable to what's being taught in class.

This site is not the run-of-the-mill game factory; if you tire of matching letters and doing math problem after problem...try listing the parts of a volcano or reading about animals!

NetSmartz lessons and videos can help your child to make safer choices online by teaching them how to search, identifying ads, and more through videos and games.

Keep track of your progress using the keyboard with this easy-to-use program. Students can earn 1 to 3 stars per "lesson", but should really try not to go forward unless they've reached mastery of each (3 stars) prior. Students should try their best to use the correct fingers when typing the keys.

With a friendly "rock and roll" goat to guide you...you'll be typing like a rockstar in no time at all! Start with the home row, and when that's mastered continue to further lessons. You can take a typing test at the end of each lesson and receive an award!
